Cost: PRICES & FEES AS OF 01/01/2024

  1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY YARD CARD: start at $90 for one day. This includes HAPPY XXTH BIRTHDAY NAME or HAPPY SWEET 16 NAME and up to 4 art cards.
  2. CUSTOM YARD CARD: start at $110 for one day. This includes a custom phrase (max 20 characters) and up to 4 art cards. (Excludes graduation)
  3. BABY ANNOUNCEMENT: You may reserve a Bright Blue ‘IT’S A BOY’ card or Light Pink ‘IT’S A GIRL’ card for $80 for two days. These cards include your choice of 2 art cards. These do not include personalization or additional phrases. If you’d like a personalized baby announcement you will need to reserve a CUSTOM YARD CARD (see above).
  4. GRADUATION: Graduation cards start at $95. Please contact me for more information or review the Graduation options on the website.
  5. ADDITIONAL DAYS: You may add one additional day to your reservation for $50. Rentals are available for a maximum of 48 hours.
  6. ADDITIONAL CARDS: You may add up to 10 additional characters to your custom yard card for $25. (Ex. HIP HIP HOORAY JESSICA IS 10 TODAY would cost $135 for that particular card.)
  7. RUSH: A $15 rush fee will be applied to all yard reservation invoices not paid 7 DAYS prior to installation.
  8. DELIVERY: Find FREE delivery areas at www.yardcardsbyjess.com/details/price-delivery/. Outside of the listed free delivery areas a charge of $0-$40 will be assessed based on travel time. Maximum delivery area is 45 minutes travel time from Huntertown, Indiana.
  9. HOLIDAYS: If you require yard cards to be installed OR picked up on a holiday (New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day), a $25 fee will be charged.
  10. DISCOUNTS: contact me for potential discounts for local school events, non-profit events, and military sponsored events.

Reservations/ Payment: Payment is required when placing a reservation (upon receipt of final order confirmation and invoice) in order to confirm/hold your date.

  1. Order requests must be received no less than 2 WEEKS prior to your setup.
  2. Payment is required upon receipt of your invoice in order to confirm/hold your date.
  3. Payments will typically be made through Paypal. You will receive a Paypal invoice via e-mail. Please carefully review all details!
  4. By placing a reservation with Yard Cards by Jess you are agreeing to all terms and conditions outlined in this document
  5. $15 Rush Fee charged to invoices not paid one week prior to delivery.
  6. Orders not paid for 48 hours prior to scheduled delivery will be canceled.
  7. You will be invoiced for missing or damaged lawn display items.

Preparation:

  1. For safety, please make sure someone at the home or location knows a setup will be taking place.
  2. Pets need to be secure inside the home or a fenced area for safety and to avoid disturbances.
  3. Pet waste needs to be removed from the yard prior to installation.
  4. Close blinds and limit barking dogs.
  5. Turn off any sprinkler system for the evening. Sprinklers that run during the setup can knock cards over.

Deliveries:

  1. Deliveries usually occur after dark and can be as early as 8 p.m. (during the winter) or as late as after midnight (if we have several deliveries) unless other delivery times have been arranged.
  2. We cannot deliver during turbulent weather. If weather becomes an issue we will contact you to make other delivery arrangements or issue a refund.
  3. We reserve the right to photograph your yard card and use it for marketing or any other purpose.
  4. All yard card setups include an ad sign for Yard Cards by Jess. This may NOT be altered or moved.
  5. If a card needs a change or correction that was due to an error made by the client when placing the order, an additional travel fee will be charged to have someone out to make the changes (if possible) based on the distance of the setup from Huntertown, Indiana.

Weather Concerns:

  1. All reservations are weather permitting. Frozen ground can make installation difficult and will be assessed throughout the winter.
  2. If we are not able to install your card due to severe weather, you may apply that payment to another date or have a refund issued.
  3. Severe weather may be severe thunderstorms with lightning, high winds, excessively cold wind chills, warnings of tornado outbreaks, and travel advisories.

Safety and Care:

  1. For the safety of everyone, especially children, please DO NOT allow anyone to play on or around the lawn greetings display.  The display items WILL NOT safely support the weight of a child or adult leaning, sitting, or playing on it. Please discourage all persons from playing on or around the display.
  2. DO NOT move the items.  Please take pride in your lawn display, and treat it with respect.  
  3. DO NOT allow any lawn maintenance to occur near the cards.  Grass clippings will stick to the cards and stain them and weed eaters can cause significant damage.
  4. Do not throw lawn display items in the garbage, or vandalize our signs. Even if you do not like the display gift given to you, these items ARE my property and business. It is best to notify the honoree to not harm the display, as you are still responsible for it.
  5. Please protect the inventory from any damage that might be caused due to flying debris from lawn mowers, dogs, etc.  Contact with string trimmers may cause damage as well.
  6. Please DO NOT attach balloons to any part of the display.  Balloons get hot in the sun.  If a hot balloon blows against the signs, they may become damaged.
  7. You are encouraged to pose next to the display to take photographs of your celebration.  However, please DO NOT pull the signs from the ground.

Refund Policy:

  1. If you must cancel your booking, you can choose to receive 1/2 of your booking rate as a refund with a minimum of a 30 day notice, or you may leave the full amount on credit for a future booking date, based on our availability.
  2. In the event of inclement weather, we may not be able to set up any lawn displays. Inclement weather includes severe thunderstorms with lightning, high winds, excessively cold wind chills, warnings of tornado outbreaks, travel advisories, and any other severe weather that would put us or our lawn display in harm’s way. In these cases, we will offer a full refund or reschedule for a different date.
  3. No refunds will be given due to the client giving us the wrong address.
  4. No refunds will be given due to the recipient requesting us to remove the lawn display.
  5. No refunds will be given due to being denied access to a gated community.
  6. No refunds will be given due to any animals that prevent the display from being set up.
  7. No refunds will be given for circumstances that prevent us from setting up the display upon arrival, that are out of our control.
